Broomfield, Colo. — SparkHope Automotive is honored to announce it has been awarded a $24,000 grant from the Broomfield Community Foundation to support its mission of serving single mothers through reliable transportation.
This generous funding will directly support critical automotive repair, maintenance, and vehicle placement services for single mothers living and working in the Broomfield community. For many of the women SparkHope serves, a dependable vehicle is essential to maintaining employment, caring for their children, and progressing toward long-term financial stability. Without reliable transportation, even minor car repairs can quickly escalate into job loss, missed childcare, and financial crisis.
“Reliable transportation is one of the most overlooked barriers facing single moms,” said Mikayla Llanos, Development Director at SparkHope Automotive. “We are deeply grateful to the Broomfield Community Foundation for investing in solutions that strengthen families and create lasting impact. This grant will help ensure that more mothers can stay on the road, remain employed, and continue building brighter futures for their children.”
SparkHope Automotive, formerly Hands of The Carpenter, has served Colorado families for more than two decades. Through professional automotive services delivered with compassion and dignity, the organization removes transportation-related barriers that threaten economic self-sufficiency.
The Broomfield Community Foundation was established nearly 30 years ago to create an ongoing source of funds for local charitable organizations.
