On Saturday, May 10th, 2025, Hands of The Carpenter had the joy of hosting a heartwarming and unforgettable Mother’s Day celebration at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver, honoring the incredible single mothers we serve. It was an afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and special memories shared by the hardworking moms and their families who joined us for this unique experience.
With the stunning backdrop of the Aquarium, families gathered to enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities designed to celebrate and appreciate the love and resilience of our moms. The event kicked off with a delicious lunch served in the Aquarium’s elegant ballroom, where guests enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to connect and enjoy a meal together.
Throughout the afternoon, kids and parents alike were delighted by visits from some fascinating animal guests. From the sleek serval to a curious armadillo, colorful lizards, and even an African porcupine, children had the chance to get up close and personal with creatures they don’t see every day. These special encounters sparked wonder and added a truly wild element to the celebration!
Families explored the Aquarium exhibits at their own pace, marveling at the beauty and diversity of aquatic life. Meanwhile, the event area was buzzing with activity—face painting stations brought bright smiles to children’s faces, balloon artists created playful masterpieces, and craft tables offered kids a chance to make heartfelt Mother’s Day gifts that moms will treasure for years to come.
